In that context and for Germany, Grid Solutions is partnering with German TSOs which plans to invest more than $30B by 2030 in deploying new HVDC converter stations to bring Offshore Wind energy into Germany and the Netherlands.

Your Mission:

The Tendering Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality and competitiveness of offers for turnkey high-voltage substations in Germany and abroad. The process begins with the evaluation of all technical, commercial, and logistical aspects of the customer request. This includes preparing all the necessary technical documents and permits to prepare the offer according to the request with the most competitive costs and correct technical documents, and to follow it up until the final customer decision.

Focus Areas:

Offer analysis:

• Thorough analysis of tender requirements

• Support of the sales team in deciding for GO or NoGo

• Determination of the general bidding strategy, considering internal and external partners

Offer preparation:

• Conducting a kick-off meeting to involve all required departments and functions

• Determination of work packages and deadlines

• Preparation of requests for quotations to internal product lines and external sub-suppliers

• Determination of interfaces / division of responsibilities with internal and external partners

• Technical and commercial clarification of the offers with the involvement of internal departments

• Development/improvement of technical solutions with the engineering team, if they are not specified by the customer

• Develop and align execution strategy, including timeline, with the execution team

• Collection of all project-related costs and benchmarking with existing offers/projects

• Management of cost reduction measures

• Conducting a risk analysis of the project

• Preparation and implementation of the necessary approval meetings with different levels of management

Listing Tracking:

• Continuation of technical and commercial clarification with the customer

• Improvement of the offer from a technical and cost point of view

• Preparation and submission of the best and final bid (BAFO)

Bid handover:

• Ensuring a comprehensive handover to the execution team in the event of order receipt

• Support of the execution team in the first phase of the project

• Assisting the sales team with loss analysis and feedback in the event of a lost order

Main Responsibilities:

• Interface between commercial, technical, and project functions as well as the Engineering, Procurement, and Commissioning (EPC) partner

• Responsibility for costs, cost savings and risk assessment

• Submission of comprehensive, competitive, executable and profitable offers

• Clarification / deviation from customer requirements that could harm the company

• Compliance with internal and external bid deadlines

• Compliance with work instructions and quotation processes / given tools

• Compliance with quality management (QM) and environmental, health and safety (EHS) procedures

• Encourage feedback to support future offerings

• Support of process improvement in quotation

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering / general engineering

• At least 10-15 years of relevant experience in sales, engineering/design and/or quotation

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

• Fluent in German and English

• French, Russian is an advantage

• Self-confident appearance

• Willingness to work overtime if necessary

• Willingness to travel - a few days per year
