Job Description Summary

The Project Sourcing Leader is responsible for managing the PES projects from ITO to OTR execution. He or She will be the focal points to the PES project teams with total sourcing ownership on MTO scope and drive the sourcing deliverables including but not limited to EAC management, project deflation, cash improvement, on time delivery, supplier base development and work with cross functional team to ensure the project success.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing supplier base assessment, developing optimized sourcing solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Take the lead to explore and pilot the new sourcing initiative to assist business win. Lead Sourcing activities for Project Sourcing/Purchasing delivering superior customer value by providing required service on time, at a savings and of highest quality effectively engaging the broader and cross functional team to meet business priorities.
  • Help the PES projects from ITO to OTR from sourcing perspective for your assigned country scope and other countries project assignments to be followed with direct manager assignment.
  • Participate in ITO proposal meetings and provide sourcing comments on cost, cycle, supply market, preferred vendors at the early stage, validate all MTO lines and eliminate the supply risks during execution.
  • Manage the OTR sourcing execution on all PES CM&U projects and work with cross functional teams on the sourcing schedule, early alter on the delivery issue and make sure the engineering define schedule is acceptable.
  • Analyze the project scope of supply, contractual obligations (including but not limited to potential LD impact, GPA restrictions, TRS requirements etc.) and understand customer needs.
  • As the Sourcing focal point to PES team - manage project EAC, supervise and coordinate with the MTO project buyers to ensure the project delivery on time and drive saving opportunities, setup project sourcing strategies at the beginning.
  • Lead and achieve sourcing KPIs on negotiations across the owned spend, drive BCC volume and associated saving targets and on time delivery; Drive business cash improvement including Standard Payment Terms and Days to Pay improvement.
  • Assist and implement the project sourcing strategies; Reduce risk in supply chain by minimizing single/sole source situations, reducing lead times and ensuring delivery of quality parts and services.
  • Drive operating metrics & rhythm to ensure deliverables & business objectives are achieved and aligned to GE Beliefs
  • Sourcing Process optimization, Payment application, BTP process improvement
  • Focus on LD prevention & customer risk reduction.
  • Core team member for projects in conjunction with AE, PMO, OM, RE functions
  • Connect and assist SDRs, RFI, FPQ, Quality & Documentation concerns (CIR, RCA, CoQ)
  • Assist Campaigns & standardization help for all product lines (Gas, Steam, Gen, Boiler, AQCS)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Technical, Supply Chain management or Engineering Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of Mechanical/Energy Industry Sourcing/procurement
  • Prefer if have more than 5 years Sourcing Experience.
  • Very strong customer service and results oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated FastWorks, Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Highly motivated and detailed oriented
  • Acceptable 20% travel
