As a GE Vernova Research and Development Program Manager, you will provide support to Principal Investigators and Project Leaders to ensure the successful planning and execution of assigned projects. Responsibilities may include tasks related to project scope, cost, schedule, risk management and customer satisfaction.
Main tasks include executing projects by keeping high standards in efficiency, on time delivery, scope management, and financial goals. You will be responsible for contributing to operational performance by providing accurate forecasts in finance Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and developing and maintaining business relationships using solid communication skills.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the planning and execution of multiple GE Vernova Research programs by supporting Project Leaders that have multiple projects, high value programs, programs with several Subcontractors, and/or any other project(s) selected by the Operations Team Leader that require Program Management assistance. Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:
- Manage program planning/execution for assigned business and government research programs to ensure that forecasted plans come in on target
- Collaborate with Technical Teams, Contract Management, Finance, Sourcing, and other functions to ensure successful fulfillment of program requirements and timely execution of deliverables
- Proactive management of project logistics, operations, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for research projects such as contractual reports, presentations, and other deliverables
- Creative problem solving to keep research programs both flexible and on track for meeting milestones
- Clear communication of project risks and mitigations to key stake holders
- Manage program Subcontractor performance and budgets, including timely invoicing per contractual terms and conditions
- Create and manage material requisitions and procurement including material tracking, customer/supplier invoice submission and issue resolution
- Track project budgets, compile and report financial performance across project portfolios including spend reports, revenue estimates, and funding status
- Collaborate with Project Leaders/Principal Investigators and the Government Operations Team on assigned Government proposal documentation, including inputs to costing records, compliance documents, Vendor and Subcontractor data collection to ensure accurate and timely submission of proposals
- Report KPI Metrics to the Operations Team Leader for all projects that are assigned to you as the Program Manager, and any other projects assigned to report on
- Develop and improve standard work for project management at GE Vernova Research
- Work seamlessly within a diverse technical R&D team
- Creating and implementing management of change processes
- Supporting the GE Vernova Edison Engineering and Development program
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 2 years' experience in project/program management.
- Knowledge of SOFC solid oxide fuel cells
- Experience creating work instructions, safety documentation and risk assessments.
- Proficiency using project management software
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.

The salary range for this position is $114,200 - $165,000 USD, annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. This position will remain posted until at least January 14th, 2025.
