Job Description Summary
The Monitoring and Diagnostics (M&D) Center in Gas Power is the largest power generation monitoring facility in the world, monitoring over 900 power plants and over 3000 turbines. The core of the service is to make recommendations to customers that directly impact their availability, reliability, or thermal efficiency. The organization is split into mini technical teams aligned by technology; combustion, rotor dynamics, valves and accessories, thermal performance, etc.
The M&D Lead engineer for this role will work in Accessories, controls or HD GT operability. This role has two main responsibilities to make technical recommendations customers and to help solve technical fleet problems though the design of new analytics. They will interact with front line M&D Engineers in Atlanta, Product Service and other lead M&D engineers, CPM/CSL's, and customer site personnel on regular basis.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Technical experience in accessories, controls or HD GT operability
- Ensure case resolutions are accurate, of high quality, and completed in a timely fashion in order to meet customer needs and business goals
- Assist in the building and fixing of analytics
- Grow technically in relevant areas on the technical depth assessment
- Review escalated issues and provide technical recommendations to CPM's and external customers through ServiceNow case resolution
- Interface with Product Service, M&D Technical Leads and Principle Engineers for operational issues requiring further technical review
- Interact with other groups within the Monitoring and Diagnostic team to help deliver improved Algorithms, M&D analysis, troubleshooting tools, and monitoring infrastructure changes
- Drive knowledge transfer to / from the M&D Lead Engineer group to the M&D front-line team, Product Service, and Design Engineering
- Have a continuous improvement mindset to be able to make changes to processes and analytics
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field of study
- Minimum of 3 years experience with HD Gas turbines
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to work brief night / weekend periods of time to support 24/7 operations for emergency site issues
Desired Characteristics:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree
- Field or services experience in generators or gas/steam turbines
- Has a track record of delivering results and leading teams/projects in a dynamic business environment
- Strong communication skills both writing and verbal. Comfortable communicating regularly with our global teams and customer base. Communicates clearly and concisely.
- Has a system engineering view of GE/Alstom generators with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Understands business objectives and drives specific tasks required to meet the objectives
- Understands GE's products, capabilities and limitations in sufficient detail to be able to develop offerings that meet customer needs
