Job Description Summary
In this role, the Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology (AMRT) Machining and Technologies Engineer will be responsible for developing, industrializing & globalizing machining processes, technologies, and equipment, on a variety of industrial gas turbine components, to deliver value to our GE Vernova business partners. This person will execute development and industrialization of GE Vernova machining processes & technologies to improve safety, quality, cycle, and cost to meet our obligations in customer fulfilment, Tx, and NPI execution. In this role, you will coordinate with global and cross-functional teams to drive new machining processes & technologies in the Gas Power supply chain for new and serviced hardware. This role will affect short-term and long-term goals.

Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with team to develop and industrialize new machining processes and technologies that will be utilized in multiple service and new make sites around the globe.
- Provide technical guidance regarding machining and tooling process aspects for global service centers and new make sites, machining and tooling related technologies and productivity projects.
- Assure all machining and tooling processes meet required specifications, considering the quality and productivity aspects for these technologies in the global service centers and new make sites.
- Support service programs to meet, repair & new unit fulfillment and NPI initiatives.
- Evaluate, test, and implement manufacturing processes like fast hole drill EDM, milling, grinding, and laser ablation for gas turbine and test hardware.
- Design and build / procure necessary tooling and finishing within budgets.
- Recommend approaches to meet the technical and program requirements
- Communicate progress and maintain scheduled for the project deliverables.
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Mentor and train less experienced personnel both within the organization and throughout the repair network.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED plus a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or technical fields.
- CAD/CAM experience and ability to translate 3D models into tool movement and machine movement that achieves design goals.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing
Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 6 hours per day
- Willingness and ability to travel to domestic and/or international shops; 15-20%
Desired Characteristics
- Sound mechanical or manufacturing engineering background
- Prior experience with machine programming, and machining operations such as milling, grinding, fast hole EDM, sinker EDM or laser drilling experience.
- Ability to manage priorities and achieve results
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
- Prior exposure to and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
- Product expertise in gas turbine or aviation turbomachinery experience
- Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
- Manufacturing process development experience

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $79,400 - $ 119,000. USD Annual.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.
This position is also eligible for a 5% annual Incentive /performance bonus.
This position will stay open on the career website until at least 11/29/24. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%,120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
