Job Description Summary

The Purchasing Scheduler leads the development and execution of purchasing processes for a specified segment within the Materials Management Organization. Purchasing through negotiation, plan development, and execution. As a purchasing scheduler, you will strategically develop and manage a global supply plan for goods and services to geographically diverse locations, while driving a commercial advantage through achievement of quality, delivery, and cost targets. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and effect short-term and long-term business goals.

  • Ensure timely creation and release of Purchase Orders to support the primary schedule.
  • Collaborate with supply partners and Materials Resource Planner to drive fulfillment activities and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution, including managing scheduling changes and cancelations.
  • Keep ERP system up to date and accurate to the current state of supply.
  • Apply appropriate Sourcing policies and execute sourcing program initiatives for strategic sourcing team, including management of deflation activities and supply chain risk mitigation.
  • Support initiatives, including lead time reduction, New Product Introduction (NPI), payment terms and cash flow improvements.
  • Manage projects in a matrix organization globally.
  • Act as the primary source of contact for supply partners operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in manufacturing or materials/procurement OR a high school diploma / GED and with a minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing, materials/procurement.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical, Business, Supply Chain .
  • Experience working with modern ERP: SAP platform.
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage changing/conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately.
  • Analytical and system proficiency skills.
  • Ability to effectively operate in a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.

The base pay range for this position is $99,500- $132,600. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.

*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
