Roles and Responsibilities
In this role you will consolidate your electrical and leadership skills by doing the following responsibilities:
- Interpret customer and engineering specs to develop robust electrical designs for low to medium voltage systems.
- Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs using E-Plan and/or AutoCAD.
- Perform calculations for cable sizing, breaker selection, and component specs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and engineers.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure seamless production and provide technical support.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (NEC, IEC, UL) and regulatory requirements
- Conduct and participate in design reviews to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including BOMs and schematics.
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to gather requirements and resolve design conflicts.
- Contribute to design process improvements and best practices.
- Prepare BOMs, ensuring a complete "for manufacture" package with schematics and layouts.
- Conduct and support design reviews throughout the product design phase.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience).
- Extensive experience in electrical hardware design for low to medium voltage systems.
- Proficiency in E-Plan, AutoCAD or similar design software
- Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations (NEC, IEC, UL).
- Proven ability to perform cable sizing, breaker selection, and other electrical calculations.
- Excellent understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Desired Characteristics
- Advanced proficiency in E-Plan
- Expertise with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and automation systems.
- Proficiency with power electronics.
- Experience with industrial control systems.
- Skill panel design and layout.
- Ownership of design reviews.
