What impact you'll make?
- The Lead Commodity Specialist Logistics is responsible for leading and executing strategic sourcing activities for the Logistics spend with the goal of achieving significant initial cost reductions and year-over-year continuous improvement while maintaining or improving product quality and supplier service levels. This includes working with the Global Category Leader Logistics and the Gas Power Logistics organization to develop strategies to reduce total cost of ownership - including vendor management, demand management, and governance/compliance. He will partner with GE functional stakeholders in Business Sourcing, Supply Chain, Operations, and other groups to identify sourcing needs, determine vendor and demand management strategies, execute sourcing events, and drive organizational processes and compliance. He is responsible for leading and executing strategic sourcing activities for the Logistics spend with the goal of achieving significant initial cost reductions and year-over-year continuous improvement while maintaining or improving product quality and carrier service levels.

Job Description
What you'll do
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the Logistics spend category
- Drive annual productivity improvements in applicable spend subcategories
- Execute end-to-end Sourcing process: strategy, market analysis, negotiation process, supplier selection and contract creation, and buy channel management
- Track performance within each applicable spend category and define budgetary impact
- Monitor strategy implementation and contract compliance
- Drive best practices
- Leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement category strategies
- Drive value through supplier relationship management
- Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws
What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
- Strong experience in Logistics, Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, or equivalent consulting experience
- Fluent English knowledge is a must
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills (spend analytics, should-cost analysis, market R&I)

- Experience with RFQ implementation and execution
- Working knowledge of ERP/ TMS systems

- Fluent Hungarian knowledge is a huge plus
