GE Manufacturing Technology Centre (GEMTEC) Rotating Inspection Engineer. As an Inspection Engineer specializing in Gas Turbine Rotor Repair, you will be responsible for overseeing and conducting inspections on gas turbine rotors to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications during the Inspection and repair process.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect Gas Turbine Rotors: Conduct thorough inspections of gas turbine rotors before, during, and after the repair process to identify any defects, damages, or deviations from specifications.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that all repair activities adhere to GE Vernova standards, technical guidelines, and safety protocols to guarantee the quality and reliability of the gas turbine rotors.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspection findings, repair processes, and any necessary corrective actions taken to track the history and condition of gas turbine rotors accurately.

Collaboration: Work closely with repair technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate inspection results, provide technical expertise, and contribute to decision-making regarding repair procedures.

Problem-Solving: Identify any issues or challenges related to inspections and repairs activities, proposing effective solutions to maintain operational efficiency.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection techniques, repair methodologies, and overall efficiency in the gas turbine rotor repair process.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical diploma in related field.
  • Strong experience in inspecting and repairing gas turbine rotors.
  • Fundamental knowledge of gas turbine rotor components, and repair processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify defects and deviations accurately.
  • Communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods is a plus.
