Job Description Summary

Purpose of the Job:
• Sound Knowledge of Governing System Tubing/Piping & Layout in Hydro Power Plant Engineering.
• Review, Develop and implement Lean Engineering process & Quality standards and improved engineering practices and to ensure implementation in project.
• Technical assessment of tenders and projects. Expertise in new conceptualization, layout and equipment design/optimization with required technical specification.
• To execute Basic & Detail Engineering, ensure FOE implementation & validate the work what has been done.
• Expertise and Hands on working knowledge in E3D/Revit/ Navisworks/CAD tools.
• Good hands on knowledge of CAD neutral data formats exchange across various CAD tools like NX , E3D, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, etc.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Expert on E3D/Revit & AutoCAD software for various type of hydro power plant networks routing (Oil and Air Piping/Tubing of Hydraulic Equipment's and Pressure Tank ) modelling.
  • Generate clash check report & resolve if any interference found using Navisworks.
  • General arrangement drawings, isometrics and BOM for piping & pipe supports in E3D. Generate General Arrangement drawings & BOM for Cable Trays in E3D/Revit. Generate Powerhouse Overall Equipment Arrangement Layout drawing in Revit.
  • Should review and comment on the customer civil drawings, Equipment GA drawings and other consortium's network drawings and streamline the Layout interface and requirements.
  • Should proactively interact with other department for various inputs/interface requirement & keep the record. Lead the discussion/meetings with customer
  • Should involve in process improvement, standardization & project cost cutting activities.

Educational Requirements & Experience

  • Diploma/B.E./B.TECH Mechanical engineer.
  • Candidate should have minimum 5 to 8 years' experience in Hydro Powerplant Oil and Air/Water Pipeline.

Behavioral and Technical Skills / Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Should be proactively initiating Layout interface and streamline.
  • Should be able to anticipate & plan the project layout activities well in advance.
  • should have good knowledge about EHS/safety rules which shall be considered during layout engineering.
  • should have good knowledge of defining equipment Loads/foundation civil requirements, equipment handling requirement.
  • Candidate having good knowledge of civil structural design (beam/column/slab/steel structure) which will be an added advantage
