Job Description Summary

Systems Commissioning is a cross-functional engineering/Commissioning discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated , Commissioned and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.

Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs. Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors. Includes operability, setting of boundaries, cycle optimization, control logic, control related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback to control the performance of devices, subsystems and systems.
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
  • Commissioning of the system as per the Design approved by Customer & FAT Carried out.
  • Willingness to travel is a must.
  • To have knowledge on Integration of IEDs of different OEMs with IEC61850
  • Should be able to troubleshoot on the network architecture for proper functioning of SAS System. This Job Requires Exclusive

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires basic experience in the Site Commissioning, Engineering/Technology & Controls Engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • 3 to 5 years of Experience with Relevant commissioning experience.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, and execute Commissioning activities with Safety as no one Priority.
