The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will manage and coordinate delivery projects in support of the Sourcing Organization within the Supplier Performance & Execution Section. You will organize and coordinate multi-functional teams to execute on product delivery improvement projects, support the Sourcing team and suppliers to resolve technical issues, and provide expertise to the team on manufacturing processes. This role impacts departmental operations responsible for planning/execution.

This role is open to remote work supporting So. California/Arizona area for regional suppliers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Controls process improvements
  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment
  • Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
  • Work on cross functional teams, and communicate about project approach and present outcomes of research done to Senior Leadership
  • Participate in LEAN initiative, and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment and actively drive positive change
  • Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate/lead in action workouts to improve process capability, improve quality, reduce overall costs and increase capacity
  • Facilitate and undertake all elements of manufacturing engineering such as process planning, tooling, inspection criteria / equipment and lean methodologies
  • Must be able to travel up to 30%

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, or Supplier Development)
  • At least 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, or Supplier Development

The base pay range for this position is 110,000.00 - 130,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on October 9, 2024.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
