GE's Power Conversion business, part of GE Vernova, provides electrification systems that are critical to our customers' power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the world's major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an electrical engineer to work on equipment design within our systems engineering organisation. You will be responsible for developing our next generation of electrical drives and distribution equipment for Marine, Naval and Power Generation applications, and for optimising our existing product portfolio to ensure it continues to meet our customers' needs. You will be involved at all stages of the product development process from concept to manufacturing, collaborating with Project Managers, Technical Leads, and the power systems and power electronics teams to deliver on customer requirements.

Job Description
In this role you will focus on:
- Working on the development of electrical drives and distribution equipment, utilising existing GE technology as well as developing our next generation of products.
- The creation of detailed circuit diagrams using E-Plan and 2D electrical equipment layouts using AutoCAD.
- Creation and management of parts and BoMs in Siemens Teamcenter PLM system.
- Act as a principal point of contact for the electrical design portions of project execution, providing clear guidance to other engineering teams for design requirements, supporting the manufacturing of our equipment and procurement of electrical parts and assemblies and helping resolving quality issues with vendors.
- Participate in factory acceptance testing and support the quality function in the timely resolution of customer issues and the identification of root causes.
- Ensure that 'Design for Manufacture and Assembly' techniques are implemented in the design process.
- Participate in technical reviews of designs, providing support for the resolution of problems and ensuring all designs incorporate best engineering practice.
We are looking for a committed and professional individual with:
- A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, or significant experience in an electrical design engineering environment.
- Good technical knowledge of electrical circuit design, manufacturing processes and testing procedures.
- Experience in the use of E-Plan or similar CAD software for the creation of electrical circuit diagrams.
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD for the creation of 2D drawings.
- Good engineering, communication, and organisational skills.
- Possession of or being capable of obtaining UK SC level security clearance.
