Job Description Summary

The Cash Flow Reporting Leader plays a critical role in the Company's compliance with external reporting requirements as part of a recently formed U.S. public company. This includes the preparation and review of cash flow disclosures in our external filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange ("SEC") on Form 10Q, 10K, and 8K, utilizing the Company's Workiva filing tool. This position will also be responsible for: ensuring external filings have complete & accurate tie-out support, assisting in the implementation and disclosure of new accounting standard pronouncements, disclosure controls related to external filings, external audit disclosure checklist preparation & review, and partnering with other key business functions such as FP&A and investor relations to ensure deadlines are established and met.

The role will also be a key functional partner to the Finance Systems team, as we implement our new cloud-based reporting tools, and will be responsible for driving open issues to completion and working with business teams on the reconciliation of historical data. Beyond the initial implementation, the role will also be responsible for identifying system enhancements to drive process simplifications, as we look to utilize the capabilities of the new tools. Ideal candidates should have experience in accounting and financial reporting, ideally including cash flow experience, in addition to solid skills in problem solving, verbal and written communication, and working cross functionally in a global organization.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Full ownership of the SEC/US GAAP compliant cash flow statement closing process, including process and controls to book Cash Flow Adjustments (CFAs). Effectively collaborate with Global FP&A, Technical Controllership and Financial Systems and Reporting teams to close the Statement of Cash Flows and provide all reporting for the consolidated statements (variance and composition commentary).

Coordinate with the GE Vernova BD & Equity team to ensure clear understanding of all intra and intercompany cross business schedules and impact to consolidated Statement of Cash Flows. Ensure CFAs are recorded as needed to properly report the Statement of Cash Flows in compliance with US GAAP reporting requirements.

Serve as a primary contact and support for internal and external audits related to Cashflow. Able to clearly articulate cash flow statement closing processes and results, including rationale and support for all CFA's.

Actively support ongoing activities related to the GE Vernova separation as it relates to the Statement of Cash Flows, for example, day 1 entries/CFAs & associated audit requests.

Responsible for interpretation and implementation of U.S. GAAP and internal company policies impacting cash flow reporting. Develop solid technical understanding of the intricacies of cash flow accounting (e.g., FX, M&A, restructuring implications, etc.) to be able to connect the dots to understand and articulate implications of proposed actions and to serve as a subject matter expert on cash and the point of contact for the Global FP&A & IR team.

Maintain and enhance financial tools utilized to report Statement of Cash Flows (i.e., Hyperion). Identify the potential need for new tools to simplify cash flow reporting and drive projects to execute process improvements.

Develop and maintain comprehensive cash technical training for GE Vernova in partnership with Controllership and other cross functional teams

Basic Requirements

Bachelors' degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field and minimum of 8-10 years progressive accounting or finance experience

Extensive experience working with financial systems including but not limited to Oracle, Hyperion, Business Objects and/or other related tools.

Desired Characteristics/ qualifications:

Prior experience/ exposure working with GE's financial/ operational processes and IT applications is preferred. However, commensurate experience in other organizations can be considered.

Demonstrated ability working in cross functional teams or in matrixed organization with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows.

Demonstrated understanding of risks and controls and is able to apply it in the context of achieving business objectives.

The base pay range for this position is $147,400.00 to $196,500.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus of 15%.
