The AMRT Coatings Special Process Engineer role is responsible for the execution of projects related to the coatings of gas turbine superalloy components and supporting infrastructure business technology and productivity initiatives. This person will work directly with the various new make and services teams to drive development and industrialization of lean programs for parts fulfilment, contractual services productivity, as well as transactional services growth.

The focus of this role is to develop, drive and industrialize process technology for Gas Turbine Technology with a continual focus on safety and lean principles and a heavy focus on RVS specific initiatives. This role has the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to RVS and the global manufacturing centers for all coating process aspects for standardized global processes, coating related technology and productivity projects.
- Lead development and continuous improvement of coating programs related to fulfillment, cost out, and NPI for Gas Turbine Technology
- Assure all processes meet required specifications, considering the quality and productivity aspects for this technology
- Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing, sourcing, services, global engineering, MPE, design and systems engineering.
- Provide strong technical guidance and contribution to Lean process development and lean manufacturing execution.
- Communicate progress to all levels of the organization.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or technical fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineeringmanufacturingsupply chain experience
- Min. of 2 additional years of experience related to repair or coating of high temperature metals and superalloys; preferably related to gas turbine or aviation technologies.
Other Eligibility
- Ability and willingness to travel international and domestic < 10% as required.
- US Citizen or Green Card holder permitted to work on US export-controlled technology.
Desired Characteristics
- Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in NX or other 3D CAD models and/or design simulation packages.
- Experience data analytics and/or coding including m-code, g-code, .cli, python, p-code and other computer programming languages.
- Sound background with lean manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes requiring chemical processing of components
- Additional experience in manufacture or component repair for industrial gas turbines Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion
- Experience in development of new products and rolling out to a production shop including qualifications.
- Willingness and ability to learn, troubleshoot and operate a varying range of equipment.
- Ability to research into problems, identify root causes and provide efficient corrective actions.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $98,400 - $164,000 USD Annual.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This Lead Professional Band position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 10%.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
