Job Description
Seeking an experienced and proactive Industrial Relations Manager to oversee and manage the relationship between the company and its employees, unions, and other external stakeholders. This role is key to ensuring positive, effective, and legally compliant labor relations within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of employment laws, collective bargaining, conflict resolution, and strategies to maintain a harmonious work environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
Employee Relations Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, including grievances, disputes, and workplace concerns.
- Work closely with management and employees to ensure effective communication and the resolution of issues in a timely and fair manner.
- Implement strategies to improve employee engagement and satisfaction across the organization.
- Sense proactively the pulse of the employees and help the management in taking decisions in the best interest of the Company
- Ensure harmonized work environment with no labor unrest incidents. Supports business in running the operations seamlessly without troubles from internal / external labor forces.
Union and Labor Relations:
- Act as the key liaison between management and union representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Lead collective bargaining negotiations, ensuring fair and legally compliant agreements.
- Interpret and enforce labor contracts, ensuring both company and employee compliance.
- Provide guidance on union-related matters and resolve disputes or issues that may arise.
Compliance and Legal Oversight:
- Ensure all industrial relations practices are compliant with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Advise on the legal implications of industrial relations issues and manage legal risks.
- Monitor and implement changes in labor law to ensure company policies remain current.
- Ensure statutory compliances of various labor and industrial laws applicable to the site. Track the open points on compliance, follow up and ensure closure of the same in timely manner.
Conflict Resolution:
- Investigate and mediate labor disputes, ensuring fair and balanced resolutions.
- Manage workplace conflict resolution strategies to prevent escalation of issues.
- Facilitate effective resolution of workplace grievances and disciplinary actions.
- Intervene in timely manner and ensure any disputes or conflict is resolved without getting it worst and out of proportion
Strategic Planning and Policy Development:
- Develop and implement industrial relations strategies and policies that align with the company's overall objectives.
- Identify trends in employee relations and propose strategies for continuous improvement.
- Provide advice to senior management on industrial relations issues and potential risks.
6) Training and Development:
- Provide training to management and HR teams on industrial relations best practices, legal updates, and dispute resolution techniques.
- Keep abreast of changes in industrial relations practices and trends, ensuring the company remains proactive in addressing employee concerns.
7) Time office and HR MIS:
- Manage the plant time office function and ensure data accuracy for payroll input and other requirement
- Generate various reports / MIS on headcount, attrition, absenteeism, disciplinary cases and so on.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of labor relations matters, grievances, negotiations, and resolutions.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on industrial relations activities, issues, and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- This role requires minimum full time Masters' Degree in HR & IR.
- Incumbent should be MSW / MLW from a reputed institution with 12-15 years of experience in the manufacturing plant having manpower of more than 1000 blue collars.
- Experience in Industrial Relations is required.
