This role is categorized as remote. This means the successful candidate may be based anywhere in the United States and is not expected to report to a GM worksite unless directed by their manager.

This role is for a FP&A Finance System Analyst under the FP&A Systems Center of Excellence in GBS Finance. The role oversees administration of all aspects of the finance systems: working with IT partners to maintain applications, maintaining user security, ensuring data governance standards are followed, and supporting global finance users for development of managerial actual /forecast development, and consolidation and reporting.

  • Partner with business teams to understand and develop requirements for database enhancements. Develop, design, and partner with IT to implement system solutions based on requirements.
  • Perform all User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on application enhancements for accuracy, completeness, and functionality.
  • Lead Parallel Testing with business partners by identifying key users and leading efforts to complete parallel testing efforts. Leading requires basic PMO abilities such as developing schedules, establishing kick off meetings, developing test cases, maintaining global office hours for support, and leading status updates with business partners
  • Stewardship over all aspect of security: Role provisioning, addition/deletions, reviewing security groups, and performing security audits.
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to streamline processes and procedures to reduce close times.
  • Design, develop, and fastidiously maintain standardized processes and documentation for application support - document work steps necessary to achieve consistent and repeatable results with a high degree of quality.
  • Able to work with a high level of independent capability and initiative, while being able adjust daily workloads to shift for competing business priorities, to be able to finish assignments without undue supervision.
  • Able to root cause and perform ad hoc work arounds with little to no preparation.
  • Ability to recognize patterns in order to anticipate and proactively avoid recurring symptoms from occurring further
  • Willing to accommodate global time zone(s) as needed
  • Administer the GIGA Application

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

  • The salary range for this role is ( 85,100 - 135,900 ). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.

Additional Description

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant work experience in Accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Able to communicate key issues for action/decision
  • Experience with either Oracle Hyperion Planning, Financial Data Quality Management (FDM), Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or One Stream
  • Experience with Excel or Oracle's Smart View
  • Dedicated to self-improvement in order to become highly proficient in Smart View, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Business Intelligence tools, Hyperion's suite of software, and ability to read and interpret code and code syntax.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems or related
  • Ability to interpret financial statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statements and perform basic variance analysis - plan versus forecast
  • Experience performing Forecasting, Long-term planning, and Budgeting
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP with ability to understand linkages between accounts to develop a Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, or a how-to T-account a Buy/Sale transaction
  • Able to draw accurate conclusions from financial and quantitative information
  • SAP knowledge and experience is essential in being able to understand the integration of ledger with planning applications, maintaining WBS structure and being able to understand linkages in SAP code block and Hyperion systems
  • Analyze problems from more than one point-of-view with the ability to provide alternatives to complex problems
