As a Power BI Intern at our automotive company, you will play a vital role in supporting our data analysis and reporting initiatives. You will develop and maintain interactive dashboards, visualizations, and reports using Microsoft Power BI. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in utilizing data to drive business insights for the GM Training Center.

Key Responsibilities:
- Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and usability.
- Data Analysis: Collaborate with the Training Department Managers to analyze complex data sets and identify trends, patterns, and insights to support decision-making processes.
- Report Development: Assist in designing and developing standardized reports and templates for various departments, such as Non- Technical, Technical, Finance, and Operations.
- Data Integration: Work with the team to integrate and transform data from various sources into Power BI for meaningful visualization and analysis.
- Data Modeling: Help in building and maintaining data models to ensure efficient data retrieval and enable self-service analytics for end-users.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular data quality checks and ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used in Power BI solutions.
- Documentation: Document best practices, processes, and data governance standards related to Power BI development and maintenance.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including key stakeholders, to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Learning and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data visualization and business intelligence to contribute innovative ideas and improve data analysis capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Student must have strong expertise in Power BI.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Power BI: Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI is essential. Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and best practices in data visualization is highly desirable.
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey data-driven insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to approach challenges creatively, propose innovative solutions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork abilities with a proven track record of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and deliver high-quality visualizations and reports.
- Automotive Knowledge (Bonus): Basic understanding of the automotive industry, key performance indicators (KPIs), and relevant data sources is a plus.
