On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Bowling Green ASSY on a full-time basis.
The Role:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for facilities to join our team and drive innovation & safety across the site. In this role, you will serve as the champion for multiple key safety system elements and have daily interaction with those outside of your immediate work group including other departments/functions as well as on-site contractors. You will use your engineering knowledge and experience to provide day to day guidance and to develop & manage projects for facility and manufacturing applications.

What You'll Do:
- Champion for Workplace Safety Systems - PS06 - Safety Contract Management
- Champion for Workplace Safety Systems - PS01 - Confined Space
- Function as the Local Business Administrator for Maximo
- Develop cost, timing and drive execution of projects related to facilities and manufacturing equipment
- Support day to day facilities maintenance issues by providing oversight and technical guidance
- Develop long term plans & business cases for facilities NPP projects utilizing ACAP & GPR
- Lead development & execution of advanced technology projects supporting facilities & manufacturing applications
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field (Mechanical preferred)
- 5+ years industry experience in manufacturing, maintenance, project management, or similar role.
- Demonstrate high level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems
- Ability to work alternate shifts and/or weekends as driven by project/assignments
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in design & maintenance of facilities related equipment
- Experience with GM asset management, procurement, and safety systems
- Proficient user of Maximo
- Proficient in GM financial systems (SAP, Ariba)
- Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing)
- Experience with collaborative robotics
- Experience with G-comply & G-risk processes
