The Role:
As Manager of Food and Transportation Services at GM, you will drive the food and employee transportation services vision and strategy across GM. This role is pivotal in shaping the employee experience across 100+ locations, ensuring it reflects our commitment to health, well-being, productivity, and satisfaction with the goal to be a Workplace of Choice. The ideal candidate will develop and execute a comprehensive food service and transportation strategy, manage supplier relationships, and continuously enhance quality while developing and managing within cost targets.

What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive food service and transportation strategy that enables employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Explore and implement innovations in food service and transportation to further enhance the employee experience.
- Develop and document expectations and KPI's for use in the sourcing process and ongoing supplier management.
- Partner with key stakeholders in HR, Purchasing and Facilities to identify, source and operate food and transportation services that achieve and exceed expectations with regard to quality, cost and service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to monitor and evaluate the service operation ongoing and to drive for continuous enhancement of the employee experience
- Identify and implement waste reduction initiatives in the food and transportation services space to support GM's vision of zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards across all locations.
- Develop and manage food and transportation service spend to ensure the cost and employee experience are optimized.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of experts in the food and transportation services space.
Additional Description
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 5+ years of experience working with contracting and vendor relationship management
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- Experience balancing strategic priorities with cost parameters and limitations
- Experience identifying and implementing process and program improvements
- Ability to proactively optimize and drive solutions related to future and current business goals
- Budget and cost management experience
- This position requires travel to GM locations
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- MBA degree preferred
- Food service and/or transportation services experience
- 10+ years of experience preferred working with contracting and vendor relationship management
Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
