Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Detroit Renaissance Center, Detroit MI, three times per week, at minimum.
The Role
The Service Delivery Excellence team drives the projects, analytics and automation to support ouroperations teams and business partners to make informed decisions, improving ROI and the employee experience. We drive a system that puts data, analytics, and technology at the core of every decision.
The Digital Experience Designer will design and implement global digital employee experiences. This position will be responsible for UX/UI designing, styling, and building web sites following the GM design guidelines for creating GM branded experiences.The role includes support of the operational activities to manage and maintain the employee experience websites. The candidate will work to identify areas of opportunity that drive efficiency and enhance the user experience. This is a collaborative role that will work with a cross-functional team of business stakeholders and content creators to understand the current state of the employee experiences, business process needs, and to define the future state UX design. This role will aid the business in effectively defining, designing, and implementing an optimal user experience for GM's employee services.

What You'll Do
- Design and build internal websites for GM's employee services using Adobe Experience Manager and SharePoint
- Integrating the Power Platform (PowerApps, Powerautomate, etc.) in projects and website development
- Support the maintenance and content changes for existing sites
- Focus on transforming the existing user experience, design process, content management and creating a best-in-class employee service experience
- Provide thought leadership on opportunities to leverage existing technology that could meet design and content management needs
- Identify gaps where innovative technology is required that is needed to meet the business needs
- Identify opportunities for process simplification and standardization strategies
- Interact with business partners to understand UX needs, user expected journey, and requirements
- Work with business partners and content creators to ensure sites are tested and launched successfully
- Interpret metrics/analytics to improve UX design and content
- Contribute to strategic decision making and creative problem solving in order to optimize the transition between current and future experiences
- Ability to be a change agent, using influence, education and persuasion to build relationships and gain support for difficult changes
- Collaborate across workstreams to implement data standards and process improvements leveraging digital solutions
- Provide world-class support for various functions, including hyper-care activities and user access management for multiple systems, business partner support, and on-going reporting requirements sustaining multiple regions and functions
- Understand business requirements and acceptance criteria to perform a logical test to prove the functionality
- Develop user stories to document business requirements, prepare user acceptance test plans, and support technology deployments
Additional Description
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering, User Experience, or related field
- 2+ years of proficiency in HTML and CSS
- 2+ years of website design and development
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating HR operations with technology
- Ability to work with different requirements (global/local) ensuring ability to negotiate successful solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in PowerApps, Powerautomate Workflows, and SharePoint
- Experience with JavaScript is a plus
- Website building with Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, or similar CMS
- Experience in Adobe Suite is a plus (i.e. Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
- Development of content management service models and implementations, aligning the different pieces and phases
- Experience working in Agile methodology is a plus
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
