Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center in Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum.
The Role:
This opportunity is a part of GM's Exploring Careers through Experiential Learning (EXCEL). EXCEL is a co-op and internship program for engineering, business, and supply chain college students to build foundational skills, and greater exposure and understanding of our business. EXCEL aims to develop and strengthen the future of our organization through co-op development assignments, networking and annual development opportunities. This program requires a four-five year commitment and consists of 8+ three-month assignments. Upon completion of the program, participants are matched to opportunities based on interest and business needs. This position will be located primarily in Warren, MI, however, you may be assigned to other GM locations (i.e. manufacturing plants).

Additional Description
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following areas: Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business/ Business Management, or Computer Science (Data Analytics) at Kettering University
- Current Freshman entering Fall 2025
- Demonstrates leadership in field of study, extra-curricular activities or service organizations

- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience
- Emerging partnership and collaboration skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, take initiative/self-directed
Student Stipend: GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible student selected for the 2025 Student Program.
Pay Transparency: The salary range for this role is $3,500.00 - $4,400.00, dependent upon class status and degree.
