GDIT is seeking a Vice President and General Manager for the $600m Intelligence Business serving the US Department of Homeland Security customer. The Vice President will focus on developing and implementing a targeted growth strategy for the division and have full P&L, operational, and people leadership responsibility. This executive will further strengthen a sense of pride in the organization by driving initiatives.

The VP must be an active listener and drive decisions across the organization’s multiple sites. This executive will lead by example, and exhibit a collaborative, team-oriented leadership style. Humility and cross-functional collaboration are paramount to success in this role. The VP will lead and ensure excellent performance of GDIT’s diversified IT modernization and mission services portfolios while also contributing to the overall leadership and direction of the business. This executive will focus on defining the division’s business development initiatives and manage the Business Area’s BD, Capture and Delivery teams to grow the business and retain exceptional talent. In addition to the full $600m P&L accountability, this executive will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business and organization. The VP is expected to work collaboratively and align with the broader Division strategies to ensure GDIT exceeds the needs and expectations of its customers, employees, and business.
Specifically, the new Vice President and General Manager will:
▪ Develop and implement profitable growth strategy and operational plan for the business unit while also effectively leading the portfolio
▪ “Own” the growth and delivery of his/her business area, working closely with the business development team
▪ Deliver the revenue and profit results to meet or exceed the overall business plan objectives and financial targets
▪ Provide financial forecasts to ELT and oversee the allocation of resources to ensure achievement overall profitability of the business unit
▪ Create and maintain strong relationships with new and current customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and employee engagement
▪ Engage the leveraged services arm of the company to bring capabilities in cloud, infrastructure, applications development, and related services to existing and potentially new clients
▪ Drive growth in collaboration within BU resources with emphasis on delivering strong book-to-bill, recompete contracts, and year-over-year new business growth;
▪ Coordinate with Sector, Division, and Company leaders to ensure cross functional cooperation and alignment with overall objectives
▪ Build and manage a high-performing team focused on high-quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development
▪ Build and foster a culture throughout the team consistent with GDIT values around commitment, impact, integrity, imagination, and agility
Ideal Experience
The VP and General Manager for the Intelligence Business will have significant leadership and P&L responsibility and thrive in a fast-paced and growth-focused environment. This executive will possess highly effective interpersonal skills as well as an ability to inspire confidence among employees and provide business acumen and leadership, particularly in high pressure situations. Importantly, this executive will bring a collaborative leadership style and a proven ability to engage with key stakeholders including the c-suite leadership, and customers.
Specifically, the ideal candidate will:
▪ Possess at least 15+ years of experience leading a P&L ($400M+) along with significant business development and growth experience. As a leader, this executive will have a demonstrated ability to coordinate, manage, and supervise the activities related to the sector operations and strategy
▪ From an industry perspective, bring proven experience in managing leaders in capabilities of AI/ML, Cyber and Cloud Solutions as well as experience with Agile Software Development/SAFe methodology.
▪ Have a demonstrated history of profitable organic and inorganic growth as well as extensive experience as the lead executive on large-scale business pursuits. Ideally, this candidate will bring proven skill in proposal preparation and costing/pricing analysis
▪ Bring long-standing working relationships with current sector leaders and decision makers with experience in serving the broader markets, coupled with extensive knowledge of business area customers including national vetting and targeting efforts. This executive will also be highly knowledgeable of the relevant corporate and government regulations and standards
▪ Be a self-starter with the ability to influence internal and external customers as well as a leadership and communications style necessary to lead a growing business
▪ DHS EOD clearance and Top Secret clearance
▪ US Citizenship required
▪ A bachelor’s degree is required

The likely salary range for this position is $301,662 - $345,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
