Job Description Summary

The Edison Works organization is a key growth area within GE Aerospace with engine output expected to grow significantly over the next few years. This cross functional organization consists of program management, operations, engineering, supply chain, digital technology, and security who are partnering to transform and deliver that growth.

Within Edison Works Digital Technology, GE is seeking an experienced Product Owner/TPM to join our Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) team. In this role you will develop new capabilities that will transform how GE Aerospace designs, manufactures, assembles, and validates our next generation aircraft engines. You will be responsible for design, development, test, and implementation of Model Based Manufacturing (MBM) and Model Based Inspection (MBI) solutions in direct support of projects and enterprise deployments. You will partner with product management teams to create a clear strategic direction for product needs and conveys that vision to the build and/or operations team. You will direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders: Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Product Owners and Developers. Key areas of focus will be standardizing digital products/integrations and processes to enable scalable growth in the use of the technologies.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead MBM/MBI initiatives to enable new business capabilities.
  • Coordinate and lead MBM/I cross-product program management initiatives and objectives (e.g., Big Room Planning, standard work, training).
  • Facilitate process and system integration between PLM, MES, and ERP enabling MBM/MBI.
  • Establish deep network with various stakeholders within GE Aerospace and collaborate with them to identify MBM/MBI priorities.
  • Demonstrate superior experience and knowledge in Manufacturing Execution Systems products and the manufacturing industry.
  • Interact with customers and stakeholders for requirements gathering, fine-tuning, and obtaining product feedback.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product.
  • Work cross-functionally with product owners (e.g., MBSE, MBD, MBA, MBQ, PLM, DTE) to align activities and deliverables.
  • Analyze enterprise solutions and develops a road map along with an implementation plan.
  • Provide leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout the domain.
  • Partner with business leaders to align projects with business goals and needs.
  • Participate in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development.
  • Communicate effectively both within immediate team and GE Aerospace leadership.

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience inProduct Ownership/Product Management in the Information Technology space

Eligibility Requirement

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
  • Work onsite in Cincinnati/Evendale OH.
  • Due to the nature of the work being performed, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance.

Desired Skills

  • Deep domain depth in smart factory and manufacturing business processes.
  • Experience implementing MES and production optimizations products preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Model Based Enterprise concepts.
  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile software development methods.
  • Understanding of Lean continuous improvement principles and methods.
  • Basic knowledge of Computational Geometry concepts/application (e.g., NX).
  • Basic understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) configuration and customization (e.g., Teamcenter).
  • Basic knowledge of "Digital Thread" concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of shop floor Operational Technology concepts with a focus on CNC control systems and software implementation.
  • Active US DOD Security Clearance.
  • Understanding and knowledge of DT Security control frameworks (i.e. NIST, ISO, etc.) as well regulatory requirements impacting DT systems (i.e. DFARS, ITAR, DoD/MoD, etc.).
