Job Description Summary

This role will be responsible to work on highly complex projects in the DSC MES space that require in-depth domain knowledge in supply chain manufacturing process. Will work across multiple technical and functional areas. The Staff Enterprise Architect is responsible for support of the overall definition of the MES blueprint, including requirements definition, architectural and integrations design, test strategy. This role works closely with the MES blueprint owner to ensure alignment of business needs to product strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Partner with the MES Blueprint Owner and MES Capability Focals
  • Maintain MES Blueprint through strict change management process
  • Communicate and asses impact of Blueprint changes throughout the wider MES Team
  • Interact with EM MES Functional Team for requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the technology stack and impact on final product.
  • Represent the end user. Act as a bridge and liaise with Implementation, Stakeholders, Shop and Support team thru go-live, hyper-care and transition to Ops.
  • Co-ordinate and prioritize small changes, enhancements and product upgrades/patching with implementation and engineering teams.
  • Demonstrate business acumen, know latest industry trends and be the internal expert on the product as well as the associated competitive landscape.
  • Engage frequently (50% of the time) with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.
  • Demonstrates expert communication and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering teams.

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of professional experience
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Eligibility Requirement:

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise:

  • Deep domain depth in smart factory and manufacturing business processes
  • Experience implementing MES and production optimizations products preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Familiarity with versatile implementation options
  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
  • Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome.
