Job Description Summary
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Leader for our Maintenance, Facilities, and Security Team at GE Aerospace Dayton Cores and Castings (DCC). Our team is using technology to advance the development and manufacturing of airfoils. DCC is experiencing a tremendous amount of growth, and continued technology development is critical to our success.
The Senior Manufacturing Leader for our Maintenance, Facilities, and Security team will be responsible for driving business metrics around preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, lead time, and expenses at the GE Aerospace Dayton Cores and Casting site. This individual will function in a team environment, with the plant leader, members of the site level Staff, Engineers, and Technicians to ensure business metrics and support both internal and external customers. This leadership role will require you to develop, coach, and support your team, while supporting delivery and cost in a secure, compliant, and safe manner.

This position would be a good fit for a leader with strong people leadership and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience. Previous experience with Airfoil, Core, Casting, and/or Ceramic Manufacturing would be preferred.

Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Drive Strong Safety Focus across Maintenance & Facilities Team in both repetitive and non-repetitive activities
- Drive Strong Security Focus and alignment with Security Framework
- Hold responsibility and daily management for team balancing delivering defined projects and manufacturing support
- Provide leadership, accountability and output against program milestones and manufacturing deliverables
- Own and be accountable for business projects to deliver Maintenance & Facility improvements including daily CMs and PMs, special projects, and expense budgeting
- Use data to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems
- Utilize Problem Solving methodologies to find new solutions to difficult challenges that impact either manufacturing operations or cost
- Use personal experience, data analysis, and expertise both within the team and outside the team to support problem solving efforts
- Partner with both internal DCC team members of adjacent functions and other GE Aerospace organizations to assist with problem solving, definition of experiments, and drive to solutions
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and implements best practices to improve products, or processes
- Lead others to find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes
- Evaluate quality of information received and question conflicting data for analysis
- Develop expertise and understanding of ceramics and/or casting technology
- Influence others to ensure delivery by partnering with other parts of the organization
- Communicate complex messages and influence others to drive consensus
- Communicate effectively with partners outside of DCC and suppliers
- Select, train and develop Maintenance & Facilities Team
- Manage the wellbeing, load, capacity, and execution of a Maintenance and
Facilities Team - Exercise the recognized supervisory responsibilities relating to PPG, career and professional development, recruitment, and training.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
- Minimum of 5 years of shop operations and/or manufacturing technology experience
Desired Characteristics:
- People Leadership of mid-sized teams experience
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing process and/or GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK
- Experience with NPI development is an advantage
- Experience with Airfoils, Ceramics, and/or Castings is an advantage
- Experience with Additive technology is an advantage
- Experience developing, leading, and coaching individuals
- Experience in influencing others
- Experience leading initiatives of moderate scope and impact
- Experience coordinating several projects simultaneously and staying on time and within budget
- Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
