Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Sourcing Procurement Leader in this role you will lead the Supplier Fullfillment team assigned to the subject commodity and will drive delivery excellence and supplier performances collaborating with the commodity team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure to have a good understanding of our Suppliers capability well in advance to forecast/create a recovery plan and mitigate/solve delivery issues for customer impact and critical material.
  • Set a tight review and analysis rhythm with our plants to anticipate/reduce Suppliers delinquency level. Conduct periodic visits at our suppliers' location to pulse robustness. Establish a timely escalation process internally and with Suppliers depending on severity, up to Procurement Leader and Commodity Leaders when appropriate.
  • Partner with all key stakeholders x-functionally to guarantee we promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration driving co-ownership on our main priorities/challenges. This will include primarily but not exclusively: Engineering and Supplier Quality for technical issue resolution; Material planning for proper scheduling to the Suppliers and support Input material control and Inventory management; Finance, Plants, and Buyers to solve Payment issues; Lean/Six Sigma/AOS to progressing process enhancement/simplification and digitalization; Digital Technology to advancing the way we gather/analyze data and increase our anticipation capability.

  • Required Qualifications

    • Master's degree in technical subject from an accredited University or Bachelor's degree with compensating work experience in the subject matter
    • Proven experience in suppliers management (i.e. material planning, sourcing specialist, supplier development, supplier quality ...)
    • Ability to coordinate people and several projects simultaneously
    • Effective problem identification and solution skills
    • Proven analytical and organizational ability
    • Attitude to work in a matrix organization
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Fluent English
    • Work Visa according to local regulations
    • Availability to travel nationally and internationally

    Desired Characteristics

    • Previous experience in Aerospace
    • experience in manufacturing of Aerospace components
    • SAP MM Module certificate is preferred
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Attitude to work in a cross-functional teamwork environment
    • Previous experience in materials planning with foreign Suppliers
    • PC proficiency
    • Spoken Italian language preferrable
