Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee Marine and Industrial Engine tests and delivery.
- Directly supervise and mentor salaried team members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Run daily start-up meetings prior to each shift.
- Communicate with internal GE Aerospace support groups to ensure alignment and collaboration on projects and initiatives.
- Ensure all safety standards and protocols are strictly adhered to, fostering a culture of safety within the team.
- Maintain and utilize Flight Deck tools and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence within the department.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve operational performance.
- Support and lead lean initiatives, including Kaizen events, standard work development, and problem-solving efforts.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university + Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industry.
- Proven experience in leading and supervising teams, with a strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of implementing process improvements.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
