Job Description Summary

At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As NPI Industrial Leader - Power Gearboxes you will work on RISE Program and you will join the Industrialization team that coordinates the industrial activities of new strategic innovation demonstration program. This team is the Supply Chain primary interface for the Engineering and Program Management teams.
You will provide technical and management support during the program launch and the execution of the technological maturation and development phases. You will define development plans for the product throughout the Supply Chain, coordinating all the Product Centers and the functions involved (Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing Engineering departments)

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Be the Supply Chain interface for the Engineering team responsible for the design and development of the product, reporting to the Engine Industrial Leader
  • Reach the RISE program milestones in terms of readiness, delivery and quality, supporting Manufacturing Cost control
  • Coordinate with the Senior Industrial Leader to define program development plans
  • Coordinate the Product Centers and the functions involved (Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing technologies)
  • Provide leadership and technical direction for specific programs with significant business impact
  • Establish plan, define tasks and objectives and identify resources/funding source
  • Manage the program, provide interim reports to customers and modify plan as required
  • Provide counsel to the team on design and manufacturing/process practices and standards

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering field with technical experience on products and processes (Design, Manufacturing or Production Engineering experience)
  • Experience in program / project management
  • Proven ability to guide and lead others in a matrix environment
  • Fluent Italian and English
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in Aviation Business
  • Know-how in APQP/AS13100 and LEAN principles and methods
  • Previous experience leading multi-discipline engineering/technical teams
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Analytic mind and statistical skills
  • Change oriented: actively generates process improvements, driveschange initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
