Job Description Summary
The McAllen Site HR Leader will be responsible for providing the full scope of HR advice, guidance, and support across a Component Repair manufacturing site. In this role, you will partner with the Managing Director and leadership team to plan and execute strategies that ensure maximum engagement of employees within the site for our 450 talented employees.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide HR leadership at a stand-alone GE facility and act as a member of the site leadership team
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees & people leaders
- Provide leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs processes including Employee Advocacy / Engagement, HR Fundamentals and Process Training, Employee Relations Management, Performance Management, Career Development, Talent Assessment, Acquisition and Retention and Workplace Investigations as appropriate
- Advise and guide people leaders on HR approaches, projects and programs
- Lead, design and implement projects
- Provide leadership for the site HR team
- Drive continuous improvement through applying problem solving methodology, action planning to address business KPI

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resource Management
Desired Characteristics:
- Master's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial / Labor Relations, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university
- Significant experience in leading people and HR teams
- Spanish speaker
- Strong transactional Lean background
- Passionate, employee advocate who wants to make a difference in the organization by helping employees succeed
- Approachable and responsive resource able to connect with employees at all levels
- Strong customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness
- Supportive team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment; ability to diffuse a tense situation
- Ability to make independent decisions, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong coaching skills
- Ability to influence and work across multiple functions and levels in the organization
