Role Overview: As a Materials Planning Associate, you will ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and sales. You will work on-site to resolve materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining our high standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Additional Duties:

  • Overall ownership of material sent to our repair vendor network.
  • Establish priorities, ensure proper material flow, while managing turn-times and estimated completion dates.
  • Reschedule materials for pull-ins (expedites) and push-outs (for inventory control).
  • Daily shortage management - data input/updates.
  • Participate in vendor status meetings via Teams.
  • Input airway bills, track shipments to-and-from vendors.
  • Conduct daily walks on the warehouse floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues/problem shelves.
  • Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts.
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and support corrective actions.
  • Position may evolve to include other duties as required, such as new material or used serviceable material ordering, inventory management using Min/Max, as the business needs change.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and 1 - 2 years of buyer, supply chain, materials, production scheduling, or related business experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • SAP (or equivalent system) knowledge and experience.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Working knowledge of MRP / SAP.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
