Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance for GE Aero's unclaimed property (escheat) reporting processes.
- Manage day-to-day compliance operations/outsource service provider
- Interface with our third-party provider to ensure timely filing of reports.
- Maintain/enhance process metrics & drive process improvements.
- Validation of Aerospace incoming records for reporting
- Assist with enhancement projects.
- Work with Sr. Analyst to build awareness of unclaimed property rules within Aerospace
- Assist with onboarding any acquisitions.
- Assist with rolling out unclaimed property procedures.
- Support answering auditors' questions.
- Reconciliation of unclaimed property data with sub-ledger detail. Reconcile data to unclaimed property items received, reissued, reversed, and reported.
- Assist with transitioning Vernova during TSA period.
- Provide audit support

Required Qualifications
- The candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in unclaimed property compliance management
- Strong experience reconciling accounts. Working knowledge of financial processes and systems would be helpful.
- Project Management and Communication skills. Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities in unclaimed property disciplines at the same time.
- Demonstrated ability to create operational guidelines and metrics to facilitate strong Process performance.
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and grow
- Experience in unclaimed property
- Strong research skills
- Skilled at Excel and other Microsoft Tools
Desired Characteristics
- GE Aerospace accounting, financial experience or AP, AR, ledger, FDL/FDS
- Strong experience in Financial Accounting analysis including balance sheets and income statements
