Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- The development of advanced propeller/fan designs for next generation products.
- Advancing the state of the art of aerodynamic/aeroacoustic technology
- Participating in and leading technical reviews
- Driving proposals for and leading the execution of technology programs involving internal and external partners
Required Qualifications
- MS in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
- Deep domain knowledge/experience in Propeller and Fan Aerodynamic and Acoustic design for turboprop and commercial turbofan applications
- Experience in Propeller and Fan Aerodynamic and Acoustic design for product implementation.
- Experience in the utilization of aerodynamic/aeroacoustic numerical design methods/tools
- Leading university and research institute technology cooperation programs
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and establish new collaborations with internal and external partners
- Proven track record of managing large networks of stakeholders across relevant disciplines
- Expertise with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and empirical based aerodynamic modeling approaches
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to communicate at a variety of levels
- Fluency in English
Desired Characteristics
- Ph.D. in Aerodynamics/Aeroacoustics applied to an Aviation application.
- Experience in defining experimental test programs.
- Excellent team player. Experience in working in a global team.
- Passion for technical excellence and technology advancement
- Ability to self-manage workload across a number of projects, self-directed and motivated
