Job Description Summary

At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As a Lead Construction Engineer, you will be part of a team of engineers who will provide engineering services for large and small projects. Your responsibility will include to defining system requirements, defining design criteria, technical specifications, data sheet, and technical reports.
You will also be specialized for all building, structural and cadastral practices.

  • Supervise all construction and structural activities of all AvioAero sites
  • Carry out energy audits for all AvioAero sites Verify the compliance of buildings and structures and plan the interventions in the investment plan
  • Carry out and/or verify preliminary studies between AvioAero sites of technical/regulatory reference in the construction and structural works sector
  • Feasibility studies and cost estimation
  • Interface with external design studios
  • Lead and guide the development of building and structural design to meet project planning, quality, and cost goals
  • Develop the design concept, material selection, perform design reviews
  • Field supervision of construction activities of building and structural works
  • Supervision of the Commissioning phase
  • Keep all the documentation produced by the various Italian and foreign sites up to date

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Master's degree in Construction or Civil Engineer with proven experience in Building Engineering
  • Solid experience in an engineering position
  • Execution of complex projects
  • Background in construction/energy with strong knowledge of applicable regulatory and technical standards,
  • Knowledge of specific engineering software such as: AutoCAD 2D and 3D and Software for the structural calculation of buildings and elements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent Italian and English
  • Work Visa in accordance with local regulations
