Focus on project management, process improvement, flow line capacities to ensure that products are manufactured with the company metrics in mind (safety, quality, delivery, cost, & cash). A strong manufacturing, continuous improvement, and teaming expertise will establish the foundation of this role.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment
  • Utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term goals
  • Establish and implement team strategies, programs and practices to achieve world class manufacturing inventory turns and process flow
  • Lead manufacturing teams in establishing product flow for plant value streams utilizing visual management tools
  • Lead and interface with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects to meet EHS, production, quality, inventory and cost savings
  • Champion the lean transformations within manufacturing cells to improve process quality and create capacity by reducing cycle time, inventory and waste
  • Advice and counsel leaders and teams on issues impacting inventory and work in-process flow
  • Encourage use of Lean tools to pull materials from suppliers, through our plant
  • Define and manage investment and expense needs that are in line with Growth Playbook Strategy
  • Bring new ideas, motivation and positive support to all levels of the organization
  • Interface with OEMs and internal contacts in an effective manner to ensure that technology and processes are positioned for current and future success
  • Be a champion of Kaizen that impacts product flow, production to TAKT and inventory turns
  • Teach, promote and practice the Lean principles and tools
  • Create Standardized Work Instructions, layouts and process flow diagrams
  • Help create a culture of problem solving
  • Identify potential process improvement projects and execute on areas of opportunities to support plants and product groups in achieving their financial goal

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing/operations experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing / quality improvement or production support position
