You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, fabrication, troubleshooting, analysis of facilities plant equipment and routine maintenance and general repair of the building, fixturing and its open surrounding. Area of responsibility will cover trades in electrical and mechanical installation, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, pipefitting, etc.

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview:

  • Perform repairs to minor building defects, surrounding pavements, plumbing, drainage lines, sanitary fittings, etc.
  • Perform carpentry repairs and modifications to building doors and locks, furniture, etc.
  • Painting of building walls, floors, and machinery.
  • Clearing of chokes in floor traps, sewer, drainage lines and trenches.
  • Assist in shifting of furniture and equipment.
  • Oversees all building and ground repair for all facilities, including all overhead doors, roll-up doors, dock ramps, charging equipment and compactors
  • Coordinates the setup of new facility equipment and determines preventive maintenance schedules for all facility maintenance.
  • Experience or familiarize with waste treatment system and handling/ inventory of chemical waste disposal.
  • Monitors and maintains a variety of monthly, quarterly, and yearly inspection/logs such as extinguishers, emergency lighting, exit lighting, fire, generator, elevator, sprinkler, fire alarm, aircon, compressor.
  • Operates Heavy Equipment (examples manlift, forklift) as needed.
  • Basic building repairs including patching and painting walls, replacing ceiling tiles and other general maintenance and construction duties around the facility
  • Establish and maintain calibration systems to effectively control performance of various instruments and controllers
  • Maintain documentation where necessary of completed assignments for tractability
  • Work independently from prints, sketches, technical literature, and other instructions.
  • Exercise extreme caution to protect one-self and co-workers from accidents when working under hazardous conditions such as heights, enclosed compartments, live wires or devices, flammable, or explosive atmosphere, suspended heavy machinery, power tools, etc.
  • Constantly check working environment for compliance with applicable EHS requirements. Thoroughly check out completed jobs before handling over to end user to assure that the facility is electrically and mechanically safe. Ensure that appropriate PPE are used wherever necessary
  • Perform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasks
  • Adhere to all EHS rules & regulations per EHS OP HE205.00.
  • Undertakes & comply with employee innovation & proprietary information agreement, GE Code of Conduct, GE Integrity (Spirit & Letter). Position of trust and intellectual properly stipulations.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • PC knowledge, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and workshop skills
  • Knowledge of facilities and building maintenance.
  • Versatile in electrical and mechanical engineering

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Higher NITEC/NTC2 (electrical, mechanical or mechatronics) with 2 years' relevant experience or equivalent; or
  • Preferably ITC or Diploma (electrical, mechanical or mechatronics).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English.
  • Ability to drive forklift
