GE Aerospace is offering the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft engine design and analysis, in a technology base. Our location, Gebze Turkey Technology Center (TTC) in Kocaeli, is one of GE Aerospace's nine engineering centers throughout the world, supporting aviation-related R&D and innovation projects that expand with new investments. Our campus is in Gebze, Kocaeli.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

As an Aviation EEDP, you will:

  • Work on at least 3 rotations in various engineering sub-sections over 2-3 years providing different work experiences.
  • Receive technical trainings, deliver weekly home works (average 10 hours study requires), mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers.
  • Improve your soft skills with various leadership development trainings.
  • Have the opportunity to earn credit towards an MS degree in Engineering in Istanbul Technical University.
  • Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas
  • As an Edison Engineer in TTC, job assignments are primarily focused on Turbomachinery Design, you have the opportunity to work on a variety of high priority teams, potentially including mechanical hardware design (such as Airfoil, Structure, Rotor, Combustor), aeromechanics, thermal system design, stress and life analysis, manufacturing, repair, additive, and more.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Material Science Engineering similar, or similar disciplines
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

  • Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing
  • GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 overall
  • Strong dedication to a career in technology and a real passion and curiosity for engineering
