Site Overview

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India's defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Our relationships with Indian suppliers, combined with our world-class local facilities and global reach, continue to shape India's aerospace ecosystem.

Role Overview:

  • Transition new projects into manufacturing
  • Provide program management and manufacturing planning
  • Convert customer quotations, proposals, and requirements into manufacturing capability
  • Manage all phases of product development from customer quotation to first production build
  • Support manufacturing-engineering functions, including process design and feasibility studies
  • Evaluate drawings and calculate manufacturing hours
  • Ensure parts are manufactured within calculated hours
  • Review customer quotes against current manufacturing capabilities
  • Ensure manufacturing capability and capacity meet customer requirements
  • Communicate customer requirements to stakeholders and get concurrence before submitting quotes
  • Experience in APQP & PPAP
  • Liaise with global plants and stakeholders for new program transitions
  • Implement lean and digital tools for predictable outcomes
  • Prepare project timelines and align resources with planning and operations teams
  • Ensure manufacturing procedures comply with safety and environmental regulations

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, skilled in APQP/PPAP processes, and proficient in using lean and digital tools. They excel in project management, cross-functional communication, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the product development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate mechanical engineer or equivalent degree with 6 to 12 years of experience in aviation tubes and duct manufacturing with AS9100, Nadcap systems
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in aerospace fabrication (Forming, Joining, NDT, Machining, Heat Treat, Chemical Processing)
  • Experience leading NPI developments, APQP/PPAP per AS9145/AS13001-4, and FAIR per AS9102
  • Proficient in ERP Oracle - Manufacturing Module
  • Proficient in CAD tools (AutoCAD, Unigraphics, CATIA, Teamcenter)
  • Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
  • PG in Engineering Management or PMP/PgMP certifications (desired)
