Job Description Summary

This role will be responsible for leading key income statement planning and reporting processes at GE Aerospace primarily supporting the GE Aerospace FP&A Leader and Income Statement Leader with opportunities for broader cross-functional leadership support. The Deputy Income Statement Leader will be the point of contact for all forward-looking income statement reporting and analysis including strategic plan, budget, quarterly forecast, and pacing. This role will also be responsible for driving improved forecasting, reporting, analytics and process standard work across the Income Statement team.

At least quarterly travel to Cincinnati will be required, if not already co-located with the team.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead all planning cycle processes for quarterly forecast, annual budget, annual strategy plan and others as needed. Develop standard reporting and analytical tools applicable to each planning cycle that support detailed financial analysis and operational insights.
  • Lead all forecast financial summary processes, creating a standard financial summary to be distributed to senior leadership. Support analysis and elevation of operational drivers complementing standard reports.
  • Build enhanced suite of GE Aerospace analytics, connecting operational KPIs to financials.
  • Lead all Operating Profit walk process, implementing a standard for use across the entire Aerospace organization and synthesizing analysis at total company for the Aerospace Senior Leadership Team, partner with Division finance teams and DT to improve overall Operating Profit walk process.
  • Create Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) supporting analytics for metrics such as Adjusted Revenue, Adjusted Revenue Growth Rate, Adjusted Earnings, Adjusted Margins, Adjusted Earnings Per Share, and other key financial KPIs. Partner with Controllership and Investor Relations to ensure alignment of FP&A and Controllership reporting.
  • Represent FP&A to partner with Tax and Treasury to develop standard reporting and analytical tools supporting actuals reporting and forecast cycles.
  • Support Aerospace FP&A Leader, Strategic Finance Leader and Income Statement Leader with Board of Directors materials preparation, including developing standard reporting, synthesizing outputs from actual and forecasted financials and other ad hoc analysis.
  • Partner with HR & Total Rewards to develop and standardize AEIP / Bonus modeling, summarizing desired bonus incentive plan financials and providing regular updates to senior leadership & the Board of Directors.
  • Partner with Aerospace senior finance leadership to develop ad hoc & complex analysis on an as-needed basis.
  • Lead team of 1-3 income analysts, defining roles & responsibilities, recruiting, coaching, developing, and managing performance.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of finance experience.
  • Financial modeling skills.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing and communicating at multiple levels, including with Senior Management.
  • Proven project management and coordination skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient use of financial systems (e.g. Hyperion, Oracle) and analysis tools including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Advanced financial analytics/modeling skills.
  • Prior FP&A role with external reporting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Leadership experience and ability to motivate teams and work across all functions.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and/or FLIGHT DECK.
