Job Description Summary
The Cost Leader - Turbine Airfoils will be responsible for monitoring overall cost for TAVS and its shops. Will work closely with site cost focals, Manufacturing Engineers, Design, and Engine Program cost focals to identify projects related to cost reduction. Will also be responsible for compiling and presenting cost commitments for NPI tollgate cost audits, redesign estimates, as well as defining the commodity should cost methodology. This role will interact closely with Sourcing and Engine Program personnel to monitor/report supplier cost and material impacts for all TAVS owned hardware. This role is preferred to be located at West Chester (NP1) location, but alternative work locations will be considered.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- KPI owner for Cost Productivity partnering with site finance and cost focals to identify and close cost reduction projects.
- Compile and maintain NPI Cost Audit (GE Procedure 400.32) commitments as required by DP8006 for new products and redesigns.
- Define methodology and tool development strategy for aPriori (PCS) and similar should-cost tools for TAVS hardware, including interface with DB44 and VCP teams.
- Partner with Engine Program cost focals (CEO, MSO, AEO, spares, etc.) teams to identify cost drivers and opportunities.
- Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) & Lean Kaizen events and provide input to Manufacturing and Engineering to identify cost productivity concerns and develop manufacturing plan to mitigate identified risks.
- Mentorship and knowledge transfer of cost rollup principles to manufacturing engineers and product owners across all TAVS sites.
- Utilize lean principles and participate in action workouts to improve product cost, throughput, and quality.
- Interprets simple internal and external process challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years Manufacturing experience.
- Capability/ability to travel 5-10% of time.
