Engineer within an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) function with the scope of Core Internal Rotary-Components products (SWA and E-Rotors for Turbochargers, E-Turbochargers, E-Compressors) Manufacture advancement.
In coordination with AME colleagues, Sourcing, Manufacturing Plants & AME GBE Leaders, to propose, develop, sustain & continuously improve the internal Processes & Technology for Core Products Rotary components Manufacture. Responsible for the development of Manufacturing Technology & Capacity within the Regions, and to Manage Global Projects as assigned by the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Function.
Will take an active lead in Manufacturing Process Development , and will support the development and sustaining of the Global Manufacturing Operations & Technologies via business process developmet, people development & knowledge management. Will play a strong part in the deployment of the Industry 4.0 roadmap for the Manufacturing technologies in question. Become the expert for key Processes & Technologies within the allocated portfolio and ensure Technology fundametals are documented, controlled and deployed in an appropriate manner.

WE VALUE:
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in automotive industry or 3 years manufacturing engineering experience in Garrett
- Strong hands-on experience in precision component-manufacture processes is desireable - eg. Grinding, Turning, Welding, NDT, Assembly, Measurement,
- Experience with Industry 4.0: - Automation, Machine data digitisation, Machine Vision, AR etc.. would be beneficial
- Competence required in Metrology application in Manufacture and in general Metrology principles.
- Process Engineering - process optimisation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Production machine tooling design, manufacture and sourcing. Supplier Management experience desireable but not essential.
- Travel requirement of up to 15%
