We are looking for a new colleague to join us as Operations Director for our Pune Plant. In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing all the activities related to the Plant and its performance metrics for our Pune manufacturing facility. You will be reporting to Senior Director, Global Operations with matrix to India MD & GM and will be part of India Leadership team.

A few of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership for implementation of the company strategy, customer focused initiatives and daily operations for a plant. Ensure delivery of KPI targets of plant (safety, productivity, quality, delivery, , inventory, cost).
  • Responsible for communicating goals of the plant and Business Initiatives translating these into specific individuals and team performance expectation and goals
  • Manage and execute STRAP & AOP alignment and deliver on committed metrics
  • Achieve high customer service levels by meeting Delivery and Quality targets as well customer satisfaction through NPS
  • Responsible to meet or exceed all financial targets (conversion, cost, inventory, headcount, etc.) by continuously improving the processes and implementing new programs in the facility
  • Coordinate and is responsible for all activities according IATF16949 & ISO related to Plant
  • Lead the implementation of Strategic Business Entity and Corporate Initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, Garrett Excellence Model, Cost and Inventory Reduction, and continued growth in change management through high performance work organization
  • Manage the development of his team members through the Performance Evaluation and MRR process including succession and retention
  • Drive meaningful change within the plant by championing Employee Satisfaction action planning and implementation
  • Participate in daily activities & meeting related to shop-floor and maintain smooth Labour Employee Relations
  • Is responsible for following the management systems in production, quality, HS&E areas and other external and internal standards and regulations
  • Responsible for the results/trend of the Plant regarding all HS&E aspects. Manage, with the support of the HS&E Manager, the legislative external communications on HS&E aspects.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • University degree required; advanced degree preferred (Major Preferred: Engineering, Mechanical)
  • Core Green Belt Certification
  • Results orientated with an action bias
  • Extensive experience in progressive leadership assignments in operations
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience of managing people with the ability to gain co-operation & commitment to activities required and with experience of developing and maintaining an effective network of business contacts in order to achieve goals /actions needed
  • Excellent knowledge of coaching methodology and practice and ability of developing others (team members)
  • Knowledge of IATF16949 & ISO
  • Very Good understanding of financial controls & budgetary responsibilities with experience of managing a large project or departmental budget
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience of evaluating complex requirements & determining required actions
  • Excellent Ability to lead change management initiatives
  • Very good knowledge in progressive manufacturing techniques
  • Experience of articulating strategy and performance results to Senior Leadership, hosting customers and auditors on site
  • Excellent organizational awareness
  • Excellent ability to be an effective interface with all internal and external customers
  • Ability to have conversation with Plant team in local language
  • Managing Digitalized manufacturing facility (Preferred)
