The digital workplace leader is responsible for establishing and maintaining a digital workplace strategy and architecture for Garrett Motion that meets the company's current and anticipated future needs.

The position owns the implementation of Digital workplace transformation projects as well as orchestrates the delivery of all digital workplace operational IT and services to Garrett operations/offices around the globe.
Scope includes all components of the Digital workplace (e.g. End Point Management (Computers, Mobile devices), Patching, SW distribution, Collaboration, Voice over IP, Office365, monitoring ...) and related operations, user support, and vendor management. The person leads all Digital workplace operations-related teams across Garrett's locations, enabling, structuring, and developing the colleagues for the best possible performance including the development of the organizational capability (people/capacity/skill/sourcing level/culture / digital mindset).
The position is part of Garretts IT infrastructure leadership management team, and part of IT extended leadership with responsibility to drive some of IT strategic initiatives across the functions.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategy and Roadmap
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Garrett's overall future needs for EUS service in close alignment with respective business and IT areas covering EUS.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of mature EUS services and technologies that would enable Garret's future needs
- Beyond future needs, proactively identify future step changes in cost/efficiency optimizations within the service and technology of Garrett
- Structure a roadmap of programs/projects to achieve this vision
2. People leadership & Organizational/ Capability Development
- identification of strategic vs commodity skills within EUS and definition of sourcing depth of EUS services
- implement sourcing measures resourcing and right shoring to build up such capabilities
- establish a culture of passion for change, digital technologies, adopting agile practices both internally as well as with other IT teams and vendors
- drive talent development within the distributed EUS team
3. Stakeholder Management
- regular gauging of stakeholder needs and identification of opportunities & pain points
- alignment of strategy and roadmap with needs of stakeholders as well as gaining their buy-in / required support
- periodic updates to stakeholders on overall service status as well as project delivery
- frequent business impact-related communication in case of service disruptions
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress, decision-making, and prioritization
- Create business communications, share IT brisk and contingency plans with business stakeholders
4. Transformation project delivery
- structure projects deducted from strategic programs to achieve regular transformation of Garrett's infrastructure (vulnerabilities management, meeting room modernization, standardization, etc.)
- own and enable implementation thereof meeting outlined business case benefits and delivery within scope/time/budget
5. Service Operations & Efficiency
- ensure solid delivery of all EUS services to Garrett, maximizing stability for our business areas and minimizing the risk of Cybersecurity exposure
- drive a mindset of service KPIs and continuous improvement of all relevant services
- establish/maintain a strong partner & vendor management, regularly benchmarking both performance and mindset with alternatives on the market
- own management of severe incidents / large-scale business disruption and high-profile problem management across all EUS services, ensuring fast resolution, consistent communication, and thorough lessons learned and rectification actions implementation
- regularly self critically review EUS cost position and identify cost reduction opportunities
- strong operational risk management with structured follow-up on mitigation measures
YOU NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
- Min 10 years of direct experience in IT and operation
- Proven mid-level leadership experience with credible strong potential for higher-level management.
