Summary:
This position will be accountable of driving Data Protection program for all the Garrett Infrastructure and applications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Cyber Security Data Protection Technology Lead role responsible to drive Data Protection programs globally.
- Serve as a Data Protection subject matter expert within the organization to span technical, operational, governance, and business considerations.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and deliver Data Protection operations (Endpoint DLP, AIP & O365)
- Must ensure the most effective tools, processes and partnerships are leveraged to protect Garrett from data loss and information breaches and Data Privacy breaches across organization.
- Ensure and maintain the DLP (Data Loss Prevention) requirements in the services, technical infrastructure, strengthen the process, Appropriate tools are in to protect complete life cycle such as Data Classification, Encryption, DLP for Endpoints & O365.
- Responsible for Crown Jewel Program to identify, discover and implement appropriate Data Protection controls for the most critical data across all functions and businesses.
- Leadership ability to work with Data Owners across all the functions to assess the systems storing the crown jewels and implement necessary controls to protect data as per defined standards.
- Collaborating with business teams in the DLP rules development lifecycle including policy development, response rules, authoring, maintenance, and refinement
- Implementing the right Data Protection (Monitor, Protect) controls aligned with the organization standards and policies.
- Lead the Secure by Design practice in coherence with application owners.
- Responsible to deploy technologies to enhance Data Protection in Cloud systems.
- Implement consistently DLP Incident response process to analyse every DLP alert and handle the alerts (report to manager & escalate to Legal)
- Build and track Data Protection related KPIs and risk-based metrics and assist with reporting on those metrics to senior Define and drive mitigation controls for identified risk across organization.
- Lead DLP related incident response, including steps to minimize the impact and then conducting a technical analysis on the incidents & contain the damage.
- Auditing/assurance duties including development, implementation, and maintenance of audit/assurance plans and the regular evaluation of policies to validate and verify present ongoing DLP coverage at all monitoring points is in place and effective.
- Accountable for owning the documentation for Data Protection program.
- Support the audits related to Data protection.
- Act as point of escalation for DLP issues (may include being part of an on-call).

Experience and Qualification:
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing Data Protection / Compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, IT security.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with ability to communicate at all organizational levels.
- Ability to translate business issues/requirements and objectives into action plans.
- Experience in customer service and global compliance management.
- Define and Implement policies protecting SpinCo key assets.
- Strong knowledge of the global data security regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in performing risk, business impact, control and vulnerability assessments using manual or automated tools.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Organized, responsive and highly thorough problem solver.
- Ability to research and interpret new rules and regulations.
