The Senior Producer of GET Creative's Film Unit is responsible for the overall efficiency, project management, and assists in the creative direction for the team's Pre-Sale, Pre-Production and Production efforts.

The Producer of GET Creative's Film Unit will work closely with the Executive Producer of GET Creative's Film Unit, as well as content strategy teams and Director of GET Creative's Film Unit to help ideate video/film/multimedia concepts, and aid in bringing those concepts to life through treatments, decks & budgets. Once a campaign/program is sold, they will work to develop budgets, timelines, run the casting of talent, crew, equipment and location permits for each execution. Senior Producer of GET Creative's Film Unit will also be responsible for obtaining and developing custom contracts with Gannett's legal team for talent and locations based off of the requirements of the campaign. During production, they will act as a line producer on-set. They will maintain a confident client facing professionalism both in person and digitally, be a leader on set and maintain an organized end-to-end production. Once the project moves into Post-production, they will work closely with the Executive Producer and Editing team to transition the project and close out the production (ingesting total production costs and invoices, as well as balancing budgets).

The Producer of GET Creative's Film Unit is an innovative and strategic member of the team who thinks beyond individual projects and campaigns. They are familiar with all aspects of pre-production, production, and post production. Constantly curious and creative, they are aware of and following the latest innovations and trends in video content / story telling / advertising. Furthermore, they establish and maintain high standards of work, unflagging dedication to getting the job done, and support their colleagues with key intel and insights, so as to help drive team improvement and future success.

Finally, the Senior Producer of GET Creative's Film Unit contributes to the visual representation of the GET Creative brand. This may include the development of sizzle reels for sales or marketing materials, brand portfolios and presentations.

The Producer of GET Creative's Film Unit will be overseen by and report to the Executive Producer of GET Creative's Film Unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualize and produce a variety of video projects
  • Collaborate in the development of and contribute to the concepting and pitching phase of a project with Executive Producer and Content Strategists.
  • Run the development and management of production budgets for sold projects and campaigns from the beginning of projects through to the end
  • Line producing and ADing shoots and projects
    • Acquiring locations
    • Hire Crew and other on-set support roles
    • Managing and sending out Call Sheets
    • Establishing a shooting schedule with production keys.
    • Ingesting and tracking invoices and tax forms
  • Lead the development and acquisition of custom contracts for talent, locations and crew
  • Oversee the casting process for shoots.
  • Communicate clearly with both professional talent and non-professional talent.
  • Maintain a professional on-set posture

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years experience as a video/film producer
  • Expertise within the Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop)
  • Fully familiar with all pre through post production roles and responsibilities.
  • Excellent client relations skills
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced production environment
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Expert at working with spreadsheet software (Google Docs/Microsoft Excel)
  • Highly organized and logistically considered
  • Be comfortable managing small budgets to budgets 300k+
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve effectively
  • Must be able to travel

The annual compensation for this role will range between $49,450 and $85,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable
