Your New Role...
The CNN en Español Senior Video Producer works closely with the CNNE video and social media team to ensure that CNNE video content production attains the highest level of quality. This involves creating new video content, strategic planning of video content types, and using data analytics to drive decision-making.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Alongside Management, oversee the strategy of the CNNE video team
- Lead 24/7 multiplatform video production
- React to SEO, trends and real time data to maximize resources and video content production
- Create scripts, produce and edit original content for all CNNE platforms
- Partner with the wider team on scripting, story development, producing and fact-checking.
- Produce and create visual elements (video and graphical)
- Video programming and optimization
- Work closely with the various CNNE Newsgathering, operations and show teams to identify the best and most relevant video content from other CNN Digital platforms
- Work with the CNNE Producer to ensure CNNE Digital audiences are exposed to the best available content on the CNNE.com main page, YouTube, mobile and OTT platforms
- Utilize data to enable insight-driven decision-making to improve the quality, reach and engagement of our video output
Qualifications & Experience...
- At least 5 years of experience in digital video production.
- Proven experience of leading video teams and increasing video starts in digital platforms.
- A track record of distinctive storytelling on and for digital platforms
- Demonstrated technical and creative expertise in editing and producing, including but not limited to the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Expert in using Premiere with a preferred emphasis on After Effects and visual effects plug-ins such as Sapphire, Boris, Red Giant, and others.
- Must have thorough understanding of video production workflow, and proficiency in file-based production environments.
- Experience in social media content production and editing which includes an in-depth understanding of social media.
- Proven editorial judgment and knowledge of editorial functions such as story pitching, field production, shot selection and scripting
- Deep understanding of video production, audiences and analytics to ensure all video is targeted to the appropriate digital platform
- Expected to continue skill development on existing production platforms to be proficient in the use of emerging technology.
- Must be agile and adaptable in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications or relevant professional work experience.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Evening & weekend work and occasional travel may be required
