Position Overview:

Are you looking for a career that enables you to bring your technology, operations, and business expertise to influence and develop the Enterprise Operations & Technology (EO&T) strategy, operating models, board, and executive reporting? Freddie Mac is seeking a creative hands-on Director to be a member of EO&T Strategy, Operations and Reporting team within the EO&T COO organization.

As a Technology Strategy Director you will be working on a wide range of operations and technology strategies and SWAT style strategic special programs by working across Enterprise CFO, Business Technology Divisions, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Internal Audit (IA) leadership.

Our Impact:

  • Establish strategic alignment across business, ERM, IA, CFO and EO&T divisions
  • Strategic and high impact work efforts / special projects driven by Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President top priorities
  • Design, develop and communicate materials for executive-level and senior leadership meetings to articulate the direction, priorities, decisions, risks and goals of the EO&T Division
  • Regularly interact with Officers and Directors on Transformation initiative matters to incorporate commentary used for executive reporting
  • Partner with team members to critically analyze and report on key metrics for board, executive, departmental and project-level briefings
  • Provide support to other IT initiatives and business process improvement projects

Your Impact:

  • Work in a Agile team environment to engage with Senior Leadership to strategize and solution on issues
  • Collaborate with Technology teams and cross functional partners to develop cohesive technology solutions, cost analysis and implementation approach, as needed
  • Partner with team members to define new reporting needs and change management of existing executive reports
  • Develop and maintain EO&T Strategy, Roadmaps, Executive / Board reporting, operational efficiency, portfolio, financials and execution status, scorecards, and dashboards
  • Stay in sync among disparate groups, departments, and divisions

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree or equivalent experience required; MBA degree preferred
  • 12+ years in software engineering or Enterprise Architecture managing system engineering tradeoffs, balancing performance, cost and risk management
  • 5+ years of enterprise transformation experience in 3 or more areas (Digital Strategy, Technology Innovation and Ecosystems, Operations and Technology Operating Model, Cloud Strategy, Enterprise Architecture Strategy, Data, AI/ML Strategy)
  • 5+ years of experience leading a matrixed team
  • Strong organization and process skills including analysis, planning and execution

  • Highly motivated and energetic self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills; proven experience operating at high standards of quality and accuracy within a fast-paced changing environment, including the ability to effectively and independently manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent visual design, verbal, and written communication skills and ability to succinctly present complex subject matter
  • Superb communication, leadership and relationship management skills, that enable partnering with and influencing key team members in an open, collaborative environment at all levels in an organization
  • Experience facilitating adaptive change to meet the demands of a critical and complex division of the enterprise, while handling multiple initiatives and time sensitive processes simultaneously
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships and interact effectively and influence all levels of staff and with multiple business partners and team members
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $206,000 - $310,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
