Position Overview:

The Investments & Capital Markets (I&CM) Division at Freddie Mac provides liquidity to the U.S. Mortgage Markets and makes funding more available by purchasing mortgage-related securities guaranteed by Freddie Mac and other financial institutions by issuing corporate debt. The I&CM Risk & Governance team supports the division on all matters related to operational risk management.

I&CM Risk & Governance is a first line of defense risk governance team. We act as trusted advisors for our business partners as we proactively support in, assessing and identifying potential risks that may impeded our division from meeting its business objectives.

Your Impact:

The Operational Risk & Governance Professional will proactively assist the team with internal reporting. Strong analytical and data management skills are essential to aid the design and production of reports and dashboards. This role will provide opportunities to be part of an inclusive team and deliver the following:

  • Develop key indicators and metrics associated with operational risk management.
  • Compile and analyze data to produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports used by Senior Management.
  • Effectively manage collaborative relationships with domain subject matter experts.
  • Proactively find opportunities to streamline and automate reporting.
  • Monitor and manage data quality and anomalies.
  • Become an expert with BWise (risk database) data and assist the team, as needed.
  • Generate and compile data files for the quarterly Risk and Controls Self-Assessments.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in reporting (preferably in capital markets and/or risk management)
  • Strong analytical and data management skills
  • Innovative in presenting data visualization
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerQuery, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Has experience with Tableau, Power BI, and Meta Data.
  • Ability to work efficiently with change.
  • Ability to deliver with quick turnaround.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $78,000 - $116,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
