Position Overview:

The Product and Program Manager will join the I&CM Business Technology Office's Strategic Initiatives and Transformations team. This position offers a chance to influence critical business functions and drive technological advancements within Freddie Mac's I&CM division.

This is an individual contributor role involved in the coordinating I&CM of software solutions for financial and capital analytics and stress testing frameworks across Freddie Mac divisions and products.

  • The I&CM Business Technology Office (BTO) is responsible for applications supporting pre-trade and post-trade data and analytics, what-if-scenario-analysis, transactions, operations cash and liquidity management; financial, risk management, and regulatory reporting.

Your Impact:

  • Collaborate with Finance and Capital reporting teams, data providers, and Pricing and Analytics teams to support integrated and purpose driven financial and capital reporting platform.
  • Perform requirements analysis, individually or collaboratively, translating them into detailed specifications and/or proof-of-concept code.
  • Manage a central book-of-work for applications and services using agile practices, while advocating for and implementing high quality workflow and software design and controls and other risk mitigation principles.
  • Work with product and program managers, product owners and business stakeholders to support integration and coordination of cross functional deliverables.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with business stakeholders, technology partners, managing resource competition or constraints through transparency to all affected parties.
  • Communicate program updates to users and senior management effectively.
  • Support technology risk and control processes, contributor to audit and regulatory engagement and remediation, as needed.
  • Develop sustainable operating models between business functions and technology.
  • Performance based opportunities, through time, to expand scope of responsibilities to cover multiple platforms, applications, and/or programs.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years in Financial Services technology; 5+ years in the mortgage market preferred.
  • Proven success leading and implementing a broad range of strategic and tactical initiatives.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
  • College degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong quantitative, analytic, product management and program management skills.
  • Experience in workflow/process re-engineering, technology re-platforming and/or organization overhauls, including rationalizing of human and technology resources.

  • Must be able to plan, coordinate with excellent organizational skills to produce timely results.
  • Knowledge of fixed income products, especially mortgages and derivatives.
  • Experience supporting financial services domains such as Trading, Finance and Accounting, Middle Office/Trade Support, and Risk Management of Credit, Market, or Liquidity Risk, and Asset Liability Management.
  • Experience supporting specialized financial services technology domains, such as quantitative models; analytics, scenario analysis, and stress testing frameworks; data science or data development; or user interface / experience design and development.
  • Understand end-to-end content creation, model analytics, financial reporting (e.g. Profit and Loss (P&L)), risk management analytics, how any given application contributes to the end-to-end.
  • Able to analyze platforms or applications in relation to business use cases, requiring skills in data, analytics, process, and system workflow analysis. SQL and Python skills are preferred.
  • Proficient in industry-standard tools for development tracking and documentation, such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint. Experience with Agile and Scrum practices is preferred.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity, with the ability to provide leadership and continuity during times of change; possessing the vision and sensitivity to enable and sustain cultural transformation.
  • Cultivated curiosity and ongoing interest in how technology (applications, services, data, platforms) contributes to investment and capital markets, including trading, portfolio management, finance, accounting, and risk management.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $142,000 - $214,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
