Position Overview:

You coordinate and manage daily activities for the Head of Technology (BTO) in the Investments & Capital Markets Division.

Our Impact:

The Investments & Capital Markets Division is responsible for executing liquidity, financing, credit risk transfer, and derivative transactions as well as managing Freddie Mac's portfolio of single-family securities and loan investments in the retained portfolio. We also lead certain enterprise-level functions such as financial/capital/risk forecasting (Mercury+), model data and implementation, payments, counterparty risk and third-party risk.

Your Impact:

As Chief of Staff: partner and coordinate activities with BTO Leadership, I&CM Leadership, Finance, Enterprise & Operations Technologies, and counterparts across divisions.

As Head of Business/Program Management: Lead Planning and Senior Management Reporting activities for a $168MM Technology portfolio and 350-person organization supporting the Investments & Capital Markets Division. The portfolio includes several firmwide Technology functions owned by the I&CM BTO, such as Payments, Financial Forecasting, Model Implementation, Model Data, Counterparty Risk, and Generative AI Strategy. Leads efforts to produce quarterly reports to Freddie Mac's C-Suite and Board of Directors. Supports the BTO in leading Strategic Initiatives within the I&CM Portfolio. Leads a team of ~10 Finance & Business Management professionals in fulfilling these responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Over 15 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry, with significant Mortgage industry experience.
  • Extensive experience in Application Portfolio Management, Senior Management Reporting, and Technology Governance
  • Strong strategic mindset and proven track record in organizational transformation and optimization.
  • Skilled in navigating a highly regulated Financial Services environment with a deep understanding of associated risks and controls
  • Exceptional organizational skills; capable of managing a complex portfolio of responsibilities effectively and proactively.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage a complex portfolio of responsibilities

  • Willingness to travel periodically between the NYC Regional Office and Headquarters in McLean, VA (up to 12 times a year).
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and drive impact.
  • Ability to work in a Hybrid model, with 3 days (Tue-Thu) in-office.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $242,000 - $364,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
